Restore your Bartendie data from backups or recover from unexpected data loss.

Understanding Data Recovery

Bartendie provides several recovery options:

  • Automatic Backups: System-generated safety copies
  • Manual Backups: User-initiated complete backups
  • Cloud Recovery: Restoration from cloud storage
  • Local Recovery: Restoration from device storage
  • Partial Recovery: Selective data restoration
  • Version History: Access to previous data states

Preventative Measures

Backup Configuration

Set up proper backup procedures:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
  2. Tap "Backup Settings"
  3. Configure automatic backups:
    • Frequency (daily, weekly, etc.)
    • Storage location
    • Retention policy
  4. Enable cloud backup if available
  5. Tap "Save Settings"

Manual Backups

Create on-demand backup copies:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
  2. Tap "Create Backup"
  3. Select backup scope:
    • Full system backup
    • Selected data only
  4. Choose destination
  5. Add description and date
  6. Tap "Start Backup"

Recovering from Backups

Automatic Backup Restoration

Restore from system backups:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
  2. Tap "Recovery Options"
  3. Select "Automatic Backups"
  4. Browse available backups by date
  5. Preview contents when possible
  6. Select a backup to restore
  7. Choose restore options:
    • Complete restoration
    • Merge with current data
    • Selective restoration
  8. Confirm and begin restoration

Manual Backup Restoration

Restore from user-created backups:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
  2. Tap "Recovery Options"
  3. Select "Manual Backups"
  4. Browse or search your backup files
  5. Select the backup to restore
  6. Choose restoration options
  7. Confirm and begin restoration

Cloud Recovery

Restoring from Cloud

Access data stored in cloud services:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
  2. Tap "Cloud Recovery"
  3. Sign in to your cloud account if necessary
  4. Browse available cloud backups
  5. Select version to restore
  6. Choose download options
  7. Begin restoration process

Account Recovery

Restore data associated with your account:

  1. Sign in to Bartendie with your account
  2. Go to "Settings" > "Account"
  3. Tap "Account Recovery"
  4. View available recovery points
  5. Select data to restore
  6. Begin recovery process

Emergency Recovery

After App Reinstallation

Recover data after reinstalling:

  1. Install Bartendie
  2. Launch the application
  3. Sign in with your account
  4. When prompted, select "Restore Data"
  5. Choose from available recovery sources
  6. Follow restoration prompts

Device Transfer

Move data to a new device:

  1. On old device, create a transfer backup:
    • Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
    • Tap "Create Transfer Backup"
    • Save to accessible location
  2. On new device:
    • Install Bartendie
    • Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
    • Tap "Import Transfer Backup"
    • Locate and select backup file
    • Begin restoration

Partial Data Recovery

Selective Restoration

Restore specific data categories:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
  2. Tap "Selective Recovery"
  3. Choose data categories:
    • Recipes
    • Inventory
    • Events
    • Guest information
    • Settings
  4. Select source backup
  5. Preview changes
  6. Begin selective restoration

Entity-Level Recovery

Restore individual items:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
  2. Tap "Item Recovery"
  3. Browse by category
  4. Select specific items to restore
  5. Choose destination (replace or add)
  6. Confirm restoration

Troubleshooting Recovery Issues

Failed Restoration

If recovery process fails:

  1. Check backup file integrity
  2. Verify sufficient storage space
  3. Ensure compatible backup version
  4. Try alternative recovery methods:
    • Different backup file
    • Alternative storage location
    • Recovery tool in settings

Corrupted Data

Dealing with damaged backups:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Data Management"
  2. Tap "Repair Tools"
  3. Select "Backup Repair"
  4. Choose corrupted backup file
  5. Attempt automatic repair
  6. Extract readable data if possible

Partial Restoration

If only some data is recovered:

  1. Complete the partial restoration
  2. Check for additional backup sources
  3. Prioritize critical data recovery
  4. Recreate missing data as needed
  5. Set up more robust backup procedures
